I believe the OEM wing has a metal cross member to reinforce the centre of the wing, which the non-OEM wings lack. I have heard some non-OEM '99 wings move around at high speeds. So basically, the OEM wing is much more rigid than the copied '99 style wings.

The OEM combat is stronger and of course more expensive so get that if you can. Mine developed cracks around the strees points but I have spoken to others who also have the non-OEM wing and they didn't get those cracks.

Also look into the CF range of combat wings. Quite a few shops sell them.

the cheaper ones can be strengthend by drilling some small holes underneath and filling the space with 1 or 2 aerosols of expanding foam .
