Taking it to the next level - EFI U?

I think cars are a lifetime hobby for me, so while I'm in SoCal on business, I was pleased to learn that EFI university has a facility in Temecula, CA (about 1.5 hours away from me in Pasadena). I know some people here have done the EFI 101 course and liked it.

I have been seriously considering their ACP course (http://efi101.com/acp.html). It's a week-long study that covers basically everything in EFI 101 and EFI Advanced, and includes hands-on dyno time on three different dynos, with three different cars. The only setback is the price - $4750, ouch. Still, in the long run, if the experience allows me to do all my own tuning or saves me one blown engine, it practically pays for itself.

What do you think? Anyone actually done this program?

No, EFI Live is another course that focuses on GM I believe. The ACP program is basically EFI 101 -> EFI Advanced, then hands-on dyno time on three different cars / dynos. I think you tune a motec, autronic, and aem.

I live here off-and-on, Knoxville is still home most of the year. No joke - the weather and diversity (both in terms of people and places) are big attractions for me. It is way, WAY cheaper to live in Knoxville though.

Sounds cool man! The price is a bit steep though.

I'm looking to take the 101 class whenever I get some money. Heard great things about it!

I think what I'm going to do is see if they will let me sign up for EFI 101, and then put that money toward ACP if I like it. That way I'm not taking a huge risk that I won't like the school, but if I do then I won't be punished for already covering some of the material.

Would you personally recommend it or anything else for that matter?

I am almost done with school and was curious if this would be worthwhile or not for the price.
