Lions, Tigers, and Bent Valves?! OH MY!

Okay, heres the story, for those of you who haven't seen this on the site we dont speak of.. I was changing the lifters in my car to the 99 lifters on 3SX.. For some reason instead of turning the cam shafts using the crank shaft I turned the cam shafts using the bolt on the gears of the cam shafts in order to get the lobes out of the way of the rockers.. I got all the lifters replaced but now some how have put the car out of time.. (I am currently working on changing the timing belt and resetting the timing) but! Due to the fact that I turned the cam shafts using the gears I have been informed that there is a possibility that I may have bent valves. I am looking for kind of what the odds are that I hand cranked a bent valve and if possible a step by step "How to check for bent valves for dummies" would be great.. Preferably not having to take the plenum and stuff back off if thats an option..I haven't drove this car in almost 2 months now and its starting to get to me.. But I want to make sure I don't mess up anything else since money is tight with me having a baby on the way..

P.S. The car has not been turned over since the lifter job started, so it has only been hand cranked with a socket, there has not been any running of the motor!

I think you would feel resistance or be able to hear it if you hit valves, with that said, I would still make 100% sure before I cranked the car. Its not worth the chance.

Well, of course there was resistance, but I don't know how much is to much.. I expect it to be tough to crank, but I'm defiantly not the strongest guy either.. I defiantly need to check it but im pretty sure I don't have what I need to to do it..
