OK update and maybe two more questions (im killing you guys i know :P) Got the feeler guages today and i had to go down to .002 until i could find a spot that it was able to slightly get under my steel straight edge. However thats where my question lies, Do I lay the straight edge one side at a time having the end of it somewhere floating in the center of the whole plate while i check or am i to lay it completely across both sides at the same time? if I do that all the gauges would fit haha because it only touched on the outer edges that way as it slants inward. Im sure it was the way i did it but i want to be 100 percent sure.
Final question I think would be, will i need any special gaskets, bolts, screws or tools for this job or will I be able to use everything that's on the car now to place this new pressure plate in with a new oem disk and resurfaced flywheel?
Just lay the straight edge along one side and let one end hang in the middle. You shouldn't need anything special other than fluids to fill the transfercase and tranny back up. If you're careful enough you can get away with taking the tcase off without losing any gear oil, but it's best to just add new while you're at it. Also, look up gatecrasher tranny install method. Very helpful way to get the tranny back in place without hanging it on the splines and damaging the PP/clutch disc.
Awesome, thanks so much for the help ill start searching for that method now.

no you should lay the straightedge all the way across, if it doesn't lay flat its warped.
