cleaned iac, replaced bad coupler... still stalls

i posted this on the other forum too but anyways... i just recently cleaned the iac following stealth316 procedures and i dont think i messed anything up. i put everything back on tightly too. after i put back the iac the car started but the idle was low on cold. i pulled it out of the garage as it started to warm up it stalled. i then got the car back in the garage and saw the bad rubber coupler that connects the ypipe to the tb, so i replaced that with a silicone one and tbolt clamps... now on cold start ups the car starts up and idles at 1200 rpm's ONLY FOR A ABOUT A FULL SECOND, then it stalls...

is there anything else i can check? fuel related problems?? i just made a pressure tester havent gotten an air compressor yet im going to borrow one from my friend tonight hopefully... but besides doing the leak test, what else could it be and what can i do? or was it most likely i messed up my iac somehow??

Are you running an open atmosphere BOV? I have seen time and time again these ebay BOV's that leak so bad they cause the car to stall all the time. Is the MAS OK and plugged in?

You can quickly figure out if it is an intake leak by just unplugging your MAF. You will get a check engine light, but it should stay idling if you have a leak that is causing the stall. And I must say about the eBay ones, I have had a $40 eBay knock off of the RFL 3SX sells, and it has lasted me 3 years and still holds pressure up to 25psi. I could have just lucked out.

Cleaning the IAC doesn't always work. I'd say 50% of the time if that much. It probably needs to be replaced.

Did you have problems before cleaning the IAC ? Will it stay running if you give it some throttle ?

i had an ebay bov. replaced it with the blitz dd bov. the blitz attached to a hose and the hose goes to the ypipe(dnp). didnt like the design where the bov gets clamped on so i switched it to dejon's ypipe with the welded hks flange. so now i have an original hks bov. the bov have a brand new o-ring to the flange too.

yes i plugged the mas after putting everything back on. ive checked to see if the iac is functional after i took it off, followed everything like stealth316 says. the resistance is perfectly fine.

Make sure your coolant temp sensor is plugged in.

i just reached my hand underneath the intercooler pipes it seems the coolant temp sensor is plugged in. i used my finger to push it in to see if it will go/move, the connector is on there pretty good.

ok so i unplugged the maf, it stayed on a bit longer. i would say about 4-5 seconds and then it stalled. with it plugged in it stalls right away... do i have a leak or no?
