It's at the top of the door, towards the rear, and attached to the frame - mine keeps hitting the window and making a horrible banshee screech.

I couldn't find anything by searching, since I can't find the name of it. I glanced through the body manual, and didn't see it there, though I did look about 3am....

are you talking about the little tab that sticks out? It keeps the window from pushing out, and keeps it in place.
They get bent over the years from people leaning on it and twisting them around.

I can't see much detail in the picture you posted, so... I could be wrong.

It's supposed to sit outside of the window, people like to bend them under/inside the window... is that what you're talking about?

Ah, that makes sense. It wasn't in the picture I posted, it was just for reference on the top/rear description I tried to make. That explains why the 70 cars I walked by in the parking lot didn't have it - they had "framed" doors. And I bet that's why my wife said the weather seals are shot - mine's on the inside and it's probably pushing out the window slightly. Thanks!

yea, pull it out so the window slides underneath it. They have a tendency to break over the years, so, be careful. It's not attached to the car frame, there's a metal trim piece that the weather stripping is attached to.

good info. had this problem a year ago, and managed to figure out how to push that "tab" back in place to hold the window.
