    2 step launches?

Ok, so who has 2 step on tehir AEM EMS, and what rpms are you setup at? I am at 6000rpms and with the new clutch it is taking some getting some used to. I am trying to fine the right spot to slip the clutch with spinning all 4 tires. My sig has a youtube vid before I put in my stage 4 XTD unprung. the vis is old OEM slipping. Need to get a new video with my E85 tune and clutch.

Anyone else have any vids of their 2 step? or launches?

Heres the last video of my car, i believe i was around 46-4700 rpm on the 2-step with stock turbos and slicks. Godd enough for a couple of 1.4 60's.

With your 19t's you'll probably want to be a little higher, just on the edge of breaking the tires loose.

edit: also found a video on snow tires, 2 step was about the same, instant spin no matter what. I only made 3 passes on these tires so i never messed with trying to launch it better.

Austin, u slip the clutch to spin the tires a bit right? I havent alot of practice launching my car so I will need to practice when the test n tune starts up.

In a perfect world you slip the clutch just enough to load the drivetrain instead of shocking it, also to get the weight moving enough so the car moves instead of the tires spinning. Street tires are only so good though, 99% of the time they just dont have the holding power to keep it from spinning off the line. However with a bit of practice they can cut decent 60's and minimize the spin.

Just practice slipping the clutch just enough to get it moving with minimal spin, and without bogging.

what should a decent 60' be for a stockish vr4. mine has exhaust work and hard piping kit (for now) but my car also has bad turbo seals and my best 60' is a 2.0 and my 1/8 mile time is a 9.4 which is horrible so im thinking theres more worng with my car. heres a vid of me launching my car. sorry to thread jack

Wow, that thing takes off like a motor boat. Good place to start might be to tighten up that suspension and keep the chassi quiet.
