You can get healthy and be happy. I eat all the time. If I just worked out a little I would be in excellent shape.

I will add say that BMI is garbage. At 5' 10" my weight should be around 150, I usually weigh between 160 and 170. I am not fat by any means. I would not feel comfortable being under 155.

I know Karen, she isn't fat at all. I'm not real sure why she is worried about it.

I made pizza out of portabella mushrooms. I had chicken, fish, veggies and stuff like that. I avoided carbs pretty extreme in the beginning but later on chilled out some. I still avoid a bunch of bread and stuff like that but I don't put as much thought into it anymore.

Go and search for high carb foods then avoid those. Then search for low carb and low fat and try to eat those. I ate wraps instead of sandwiches. I went to buffets so I had plenty of options. Once you know what has carbs then it's much easier to avoid them.

Don't get upset if you did it for a week and you didn't see any progress. Just keep with it and you will see results. There are plenty of foods out there that are low carb and awesome, I prefer them actually.

One more thing, a friend of mine went on a high carb diet after a motorcycle wreck. This was before all the low carb diets were out. I'm not sure why he did, maybe it helped heal bones or something but he got so damn huge I couldn't believe it. There is no doubt in my mind that they cause your body to store fat. I have seen it over and over. That's why I don't eat a crap load of fatty foods ether, because I don't totally give up carbs.

Oh and eat more through the day then eat light in the evening. Breakfast and lunch are important for energy and you burn most of that off through the day. If you eat a bunch late then go to bed it sticks with you.

I didn't have this problem at your age either.
    In fact at 30 I weighed 125 at 5"8'.
That is when I met Hubby and he thought I was too skinny. LOL!

This crazy ol pic I've posted before.
    Always a fun laugh.
