    Mitsubishi ASA JDM and USDM

Thanks to VR-04-TT on Mitsubishi Club Australia [who got it of a dsm-club.org]

Abiding by www.dsm-club.org 's request, I'll link you to the page and not directly to the file.

Download the Japanese ASA for our car info.

The files you want to download are the ones under:
    "Mitsubishi ASA Japan (MMC ASA)

каталог запчастей MMC ASA для всех моделей Митсубиши японского рынка.

MMC ASA catalog of parts for all models of Mitsubishi Japanese market.
    Обновляется через интернет.

    Updates via the Internet."

The password for the archives is "dsm-club.org" (without quotations)

    Installation:

Once you've downloaded and extracted the two ISO files. Just mount them (with Daemon tools) or burn them with Nero or something similar.

Run disc A and choose "Setup". The program will start to install and you will get this first screen:

    Choose "English UK", click OK

    Next screen:

Check the "HASP HL" box, make sure nothing else is checked.
    Click FINISH

Next screen (after the HASP HL drivers are installed):

    Choose "Custom Install"

    Next screen:

Choose your hard drive to install to, then check "Single User (Full) - Recommended"
    Click NEXT

    The program will install.

Once this is installed, DO NOT start the program or it will give you an error message.

    You need to crack it.

Browse your ASA Jap Disc A and find the "Crack" folder. Copy the file mmData.dll to this folder:
x:\MMC\ASA\M00\PROG\ (where "x" is the drive you installed to)

Then double click and run the MMC.REG file to update your registry.

    The program will now work.

    Have fun!
Follow the same instructions for the USDM version etc. I have both installed on my Windows 7 PC.

Final update to make this complete. I finally found a solution for those running 64bit versions of windows. I corrected some spelling and added some text but essentially all thanks goes to Frozen on OzVR4.com

edit - ok guys with x64 vista you will need to change the registry key that is being entered. Just open it up in notepad (right click, open with, choose notepad or choose edit if it's an available option)

When inside, one line will say [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Licenses], just change that to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\Licenses] and save it, should work after that.

the program is a 32 bit application, therefore runs in vista 64's 32 bit shell, which is kept seperate to all the 64 bit stuff. just like you have a Program Files and a Program Files (x86) folder in x64.

    Update:

For alternative instructions and download links see this page. It also shows how to update to a newer version. Download links should also be password free.

Does this work with win7? I had this when I was running Vista, but no luck with win7 for some reason. Could it be that I'm now running in x64?

Works for me on Win7. One thing that did happen when I was installing was that the default install location was d: drive and I didn't notice so as it was installing then gave an error which threw me then went back and realised LOL.
Alternatively try right clicking on the install file and go to properties. Select the compatibility tab and tel it to run in Win XP SP2 [not sp3] mode and so far everything has worked using this if it didn't before.

    Cheers,

    Joe

Is there a technical section this could be moved to? I feel helpful things will get buried under pages and pages of posts.

USDM only shows USA models and allows USA vin searches. JDM is on JDM etc. It's handy to have both so you can cross reference part numbers etc.
