I just tried to update all 4 versions and got the same response each time. No update available. Is this what you got? How did you "manually" update?

Edit: I read the help file lol and now I know what you mean by manually. This is the method I used as well. I also set it to auto update and that did nothing. Perhaps there is a newer version of the program that will have a newer database. I'll start looking.

PS can you PM me your EVO X vin so I can see what it does?

Actually........................... I just noticed the update folder that comes on disc one of ech version. I saw it there when installing but forgot to check it. There appears to be an update file for each version number. The installer installs with an older version of the databse and thease files should update one by one. Just gotta work out how to use them. If I run the files they give a no command line supllied error.

Ahhhh haaaa worked it out. Copy the files from the CD/Image "update" directory to the folder in the install location called UPDATE then run the online update and it will find the files and ask to proceed.

Well I installed all the updates but it still won't recognise an EVO X MY11 vin [Aust delivered model searching under general export asa][However it does work for MY08 & MY09 models]. Can't test a USDM or JDM vin as I don't yet have one.

Hmm. I'll have to try that out and report back. I don't even know the VIN of my car, rofl. I was using a VIN from another MY10 Evo (there were no MY09 Evo X's BTW, 08, 10, 11)

When it is "legally" installed there is a USB key/dongle that contains the license. As long as this is present then you can do anything with it. This install modifies the registry so it no longer looks for the key [or tricks it into thinking it is there when it's not]. The CD images all have update files but they will only update so far. I tried updating off the web before and after manually using the supplied update files and still no difference. Just says no updates available.

Just installed this on Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit and it gets a msg saying "Key Expired" "this software requires registration" then give the option to enter a key.... it never did that before. Must be a 64bit thing. Will try on one of my other computers tomorrow.

Did anyone manage to get it working in Win7 64bit?

I tried reinstalling it on all of my computers and it comes up with a virus in the program and won't let me finish the install . This is from the file downloaded from that Russian DSM page.
