Ultimate, you are doing everything right to keep your system running. I'd probably test your hardware if you haven't done so.
There are two ways to do this. You can either run a full system test, which takes quite a bit of time.
Burn this following image to a CD using
ImgBurn.
PC Check
Then boot your computer to it.
Otherwise, you can run individual tests:
Get
DFT and burn it to a cd. Boot to the CD and choose to do the advanced test. If it is green, your HDD is fine, if red, you will need to replace it.
Then run a test on your memory(RAM) using
Memtest 86+. If any errors occurs, your memory is bad and needs replacing.
