    Suggest some cars

I'm looking to try to pick something slightly newer, bigger and more reliable up. I've really only been watching Craigslist and haven't really checked any dealerships out. I've been looking at some 98-03 Grand Prixs mostly. I looked at a few of the same range Buick Regals today.

I'm trying to think of other cars similar in size, hp/tq, gas mileage and price. I currently have about $3000 in savings. I'd really like to pay no more than $5000, but could if I had to.

Anyone got any good suggestions? I'm hoping that doing this will give me the motivation to bring the Stealth back to its previous glory and make it a weekend warrior, instead of a daily driver.

Do you have a preference when it comes to make? Seems like like GM stuff from your description. I think that Maxima's are good DD's. Decent power, Nice interior, 4 doors. Thats just me.

No, not really. I was just looking at those because of the size and the 3800 having decent power and gas mileage.

Again, I want something a little bigger, so that eliminates most of the models you have listed.

Just looking at Craigslist I saw a 300M and a Diamante as other cars in the range of the size I am looking for. Also, I want something a little more cushy. I don't want a sport compact.

I just need to visit some used car dealers and take some various cars for a ride. I might even just see how I like the ride of the different cars, then talk to the big boss at work. He has a dealers license and goes to auctions all the time.

Sounds like the best plan. Nice to have the dealers license available!

Yeah definitely. He actually told me before when I go to get a car to let him know and he'd see what he could do to help me out.

I'd actually like to pick up a newer Charger. Even a 3.5 AWD would make me happy, but I really don't want the payments on that right now. If things go the way they may be going at work in the next month though, I might actually be able to afford that without sweating it.

E39's have come down in price a lot and are fairly reliable as far as BMW's go.
