    Who wants a forged 6g72?

Ok so as most of you know my bro (mh3kgt) swapped his motor out about 2 years ago and his block has been sitting these past two years just crying and begging to be put into another beast. Here is the deal, I took the engine back to my house and I plan on building a forged long block/shortblock depending on request. The block has a forged crank and is in great shape minus a melted piston. I would get forged rods and pistons as well as rebuild both heads with new valves, vss, and all new gaskets, oil pump, water pump, and timing belt, piston rings, bearing...the works. Question is who wants it when it is done? Looking for a buyer to be able to justify the cost that will be put into this project. Depending on where buyer is there is a chance we can meet halfway....let me know who wants this!

I'm planning to pull my engine here shortly. Its a rebuild with 1000 miles that may have eaten another bearing (not cleaned enough ) So depending on the condition of the crank, I may need a usable crank. (If you want to go that route)

I'd like to keep the engine as complete as possible, but if push comes to shove I may sell the crank separately. As far as I can tell it is an OEM forged crank, but I'll have my brother inspect it more closely, from what I could tell when we looked at it lastnight I could see hatchmarks from machining on it.

*EDIT* It should be noted that this is a 2bolt block for all you 93+ guys

Actually....I have some wisecos and 3SX rods that would be perfect for that block. I hate the idea of hoping I've cleaned it enough after a spun bearing. I'm pulling the motor mid March so ill stay in touch.

Sounds great man! You're gonna have pretty much exactly what I've got in mine minus the 3sx rods. I went with wiseco's and oem rods since I didn't plan on going for crazy power anyway.

Oops, looks like on closer inspection of the crank it is in fact a cast crank and NOT a forged crank, sorry about the confusion

Dang....well I still might be interested in a 2-bolt block that hasn't seen any spun bearings. (Any ideas on pricing?)

I could prob do $700ish for just the block. Not sure what they really go for. Would u want the pistons and crank in it too? I could have them pulled to shave shipping weight

I would want just a bare block with matching main girdle.

Correct this is a CAST crank...dang...But the offer is still out there. A forged crank can always be purchased and then the engine be built. Even if you did stock rods and forged pistons you can get some good power out of this engine.
