should i go -6 an or -8 an for my new fuel system? (that's 3/8" vs. 1/2" for those who are keeping tabs).
thx!

and another question. anyone here have experience with nology plug wires?
8-AN feed 6-AN return. If you are running Eth or Meth from a tank 10-AN feed and 8-AN return. If you are going to run solid hardpipe stainless lines 1/2" ID supply 3/8" ID return.
Don't know about the nology wires. I've seen a few subi's and evo's with them but have never used them, tuned a vehicle them, etc. In for the info on the nology.
sweet. i was wondering because it looked like 3sx's kit was -6 an on the feeds.
next questions:
what lengths of braided hose do i need to make my own tank-to-block fuel system? what's a good brand to get?
One -6AN feed won't work with much more than BPU. I have run two -6AN lines into one -10 and two -6AN lines into one -8AN line and two -6AN line from the tank to the fuel rails. The last option is my choice for overall simplicity and ease of installation. One -6AN line return is good. The entire system (less the cost of fuel pumps) can be done for about $500, including AFPR. Just my 1.5 cents worth.
i take it that if you run 2 -6 an lines, you don't need a loop--but you will need 2 FPR's and 2 filters?
Just run two -6AN lines to the rails, then two -6AN lines to the AFPR and one to the tank. Most after market FPRs have two -6AN inlets and one -6AN outlet, so only one is required. Running two -6AN lines eliminates the need for Y-Blocks. It does require two fuel filters, but is just a lot simpler to run.
While I haven't personally used (or seen) one of these kits, just the pics and description make them VERY attractive:

-6 can go very far, we have a couple evos running the stock hardline making 600 wheel on ethanol.
My car was on -6 feed slit into both rails then out of both rails into a fpr and then used the stock return.
How much power are you going for? -8 feed with- 6 return is about the farthest you will need to go.

peak power from this setup (if tuned on race gas) would probably be around 650. i plan on running pure pump; but i want to have the capability there. for argument's sake, let's say i wanted 1000hp on e85. how big would i need?
p.s.
austin, you never got back to me on those fuel rails. i'm needing a set.
