    Yeah true.

I would think a stock 1G GTO could probably comfortably manage a 13 second pass? I doubt a XR6T would break 14 seconds, however i'm certainly no expert on the matter. Best get those bigger turbos asap and you'll be leaving them for dead all summer haha

From personal experience of the start (on numerous occations)with a slipping clutch, it's dead even....but the GTO has way more legs once you get going

Front bar is off awaiting front mount kit to arrive and all the suspension is out waiting for my coilovers to arrive, looks like it has been stolen or something.

Hmmm to be honest from the factory the XR6 T make 240kw and have less drivetrain loss than we do so you'd be surprised. Btw am heaps quicker than a stock xr and am making about 270 awkw at the moment but the damn XRs come with a gt3540 turbo from the factory, and those things are monsters. Replace the valve springs, Cappa flash the ecu, intercooler, injectors and fuel pump with exhaust and intake and you'll be on the other side of 350rwkw so they are very quick because of their monster factory turbos. The turbos are good for over 650hp from the factory, thats why XR6's are the new VL turbos, spend 5 grand on them and you have a monster.

Although am talking about the BA model XRs, the newer ones actually have a smaller turbo for better response. Think thats bad, the FPV Typhoons, came with a gt4040 ie bigger exhaust outlet and also a forged engine pretty tough from the factory, you'll see plenty of them making 400rwkws on stock turbos....

That said we would munch a 500rwkw XR around the twisties, but put them in a straight line (Rolling), with an extra litre of combustion (remember they are 4 litre) and a massive stock turbo, my money would be on the XRs

As I said i'm no expert on the matter, i've just seen/heard the 14 - 14.5 second figure mentioned of the stock XR6T. Maybe their larger turbo doesn't spool up as quick, but it sure does sound like a fun car especially considering that sweet turbo haha...

Depends on model. The BA was 225kw I think and the BF was 245kw. IIRC at some point can't remember when they used the same engine [internals but not cam] as the typhoon. Then later changed again back to standard falcon block and internals. But a stock BF with a capa flash tune intercooler, injectors, fuel pump and exhaust they will haul ass as mentioned above. But they still suck in the corners/twisties. But so does our car compared to an evo. Any small turbo hatch is also quicker in the twisties. I used to do mountain runs with 2 mates. XR6 Turbo with 400rwkw and a stock Astra Turbo and the astra was always quicker due to the speed it could take the corners. XR6 was always last. Would catch up on the straights then fall behind again in the corners.
