Need advice as to what to do about a fellow member on here eastcoast

Ok, first off I won't mention his name as to I want to hear from you all as to what should I do next. I was checking out the parts for sale threads early this month and came across a full exhaust with dp $300 shipped. I jumped on it as I need one for my new 91 R/T. He said he was on an aircraft carrier and wouldn't be back until the end of the month and wanted to know if that was ok. I replied yes I will gladly take it when you get back. I then get a PM on the 11th stating he got back early and sent me his paypal info. I replied I am sending money now. He then replies a few days later (14th) do you want me to ship it to your paypal address. I replied, yes please. This is the last time he has communicated with me. I have sent a total of three PM's to him and tagged for "read". He has read them all and won't even say boo as to when he will ship them, if he will ship them nothing! Paypal shows them as shipped and delivered in Norfolk, VA. This is where he lives/stationed I believe. I live in the south burbs of Chicago.

So, what should be my next move?

    Thanks,
    -Dan

No, I haven't yet. I am hoping "the guy" views this thread and considers his actions as being very unprofessional and it could kill his reputation on here. I am considering contacting paypal and doing a inquiry as to where are "my goods" and getting his full contact info. That way I can contact the Norfolk Naval base and go through JAG. I am a retired MSG from the Army and I know how to do a Commander's Inquiry if need be.

Jesus. This is like the 1000th thread I've read about a service member who is acting flaky and not shipping a part for money received. IF ANY SERVICE MEMBERS ARE READING THIS, NO, YOUR SERVICE DOES NOT GIVE YOU AN EXCUSE TO BE A DICK AND SCREW OVER MEMBERS, NOR SHOULD IT BE VIEWED AS A BURDEN ON YOUR PART TO COMPLETE YOUR END OF THE DEAL, REGARDLESS OF WHERE YOU ARE STATIONED!

If the member in question is reading this, man up and send the man his parts and give him the courtesy of sending him a reply to his PM's. If you want to act like a little bitch, then you're a sorry human being and it sucks that you're representing our country.

After spending twenty-one years in the Army, I know what it's like to deploy and get called up over night! However, if I had internet access I would make sure I could/would take care of my obligations. What I don't quite understand is why he is ignoring me!? He has read all three PMs and still nothing. It's not like I am being a dick or making threats about it. I think I am being very professional and I can give him the benefit of the doubt if there is a good explanation.

I would lay down a stern ultimatum, ie 7-10 days to receive all product in the original agreement. Anything can be shipped from coast to coast using ground within 7 days. If he does not comply, file a dispute with Paypal, and whatever actions you deem neccessary through JAG.

If you need any assistance, feel free to PM me and I will help as much as I can.

Sure thing, hopefully it doesn't come to that and everything works out in a civil manner.

Well after this, it will make it hard for me to buy from anyone I don't know from the "other site" on here.
