I think we have some confusion on "turbo bob" here. The TurboBob that most will think of is TurboBob that makes scanmaster's and what not. He lives around Detroit, and this turbo bob guy making these turbos is out in Cali. The Bob that I know would not rip anyone off, no way no how.

Is this "turbo bob" person on 3Si? If so, please link to his profile.

I agree with Jeremy... the turbo bob I'm thinking of overclocked ECU's and such had a red 1g stealth TT he sold a while back. Always seemed like a honest guy to me. Wasn't out to scam people on turbo's.

Unfortunately he isn't on 3si. There was a member on 3si that was having turbos shipped to him and then he would go ahead and drop the turbos off at bobs from what I understand. I know that the guys shop is in California so its definitely not the bob in Detroit.

Good deal, I knew it wasn't our TurboBob, and wanted to make sure everyone else understood that.

BTW, those pics are disturbing...I would be effing furious.

I don't know... This is the 1st time I've ever heard of an 11g... maybe they are extremely rare and valuable and you can turn around and sell them for a TD05 setup!

Seriously... are they about the size of 9b's?

Same here, I`ve read a few times that the UK designated 13G`s were actually an 11G wheel..

Plus TurboBob on 3si is having his name dragged through the mud in these posts and he`s got nothing to do with it..
    GTO-TT, PTE 1200's, M20, Emanage Ultimate, OS Geiken R3C,
    TD04-16g`s, Maf-t. 13g`s 12.4@115mph / 16g`s 12.5@117mph.

Hello everyone! guess who?! Just wanted to clarify a few things! I've been working with turbo bob, who has had his turbo shop for over 30 years now in the same location, and stand behind his work! First off, i've been getting real 15g and real 19t upgrades for everyone w/ complete rebuilds for a ridiculously low price, which is pretty much warrantied... However, I've been getting rebuilds done for people by bob as well. Leroy was an exception that wanted to rebuild his turbos (not upgrade) and was informed that the wheels that his turbos had were not 15gs! Therefore, they are not bob's 15g turbos! They are just his own turbos that has been rebuilt by bob for a great price; furthermore, the issue of the turbo w/o the "seal plate" was his own choice. He was given the option to keep it in and find another exhaust housing or to run them w/o it... This is was due to the cores he gave us to rebuild with..it was all different generation parts, hoping that they would all come together neatly. Bob still honored the price, found two turbines and included them as well, because they were bent and unusable.. Turbo bob stand behind his work! If any turbo would fail prematurely, please send them back! please call and notify me! if there is any questions or concerns, please pm me! I will be more than happy/willing to give you the confidence necessary. Also, this is not a high profit service (obviously)...it was originally intended for those that don't want to spend 2600 dollars on a turbos that are the exact same thing as turbo bob's. Please feel free to pm me (timp3kgt) on 3si.org and I'll be happy to answer any questions and give you a contact number! I don't come on this forum often, but perhaps I should. Thank you Michael for raising your concerns and contacting me directly! I hope this helps...

    -Tim

welcome tim, thank you for getting back with me over the phone. i asked a couple questions to tim, he called me right away. i have admit that is not normal. we both agreed to have the shop i am dealing with look at the wheel, and he also said if they are not 15gs to send em back. also this made me happy. also mentioned if they fail, send em back. this does put me to ease. i hope to have a full report on them soon. as i posted in the other thread, i had to give another chance there's always two sides. hopefully i will have mine looked this coming week.

thank you getting back with me in a adult manner and right away.
