Something to keep in mind as you start adding sensors and such, if weird shit starts happening (that you can't trace down to the code), look to your hardware. Proper decoupling and clean power go a long way. If you suspect a noise issue somewhere use shielding to see if you can track it down.
In general these are good concepts to remember when building it, but you really want to be careful with shielding as it can, and often does, make things worse. Same goes for decoupling noise from the supply lines and away from IO/AD lines, too much bulk capacitance and you can run into power issues, too little and you get a noisy signal!

Nice board too! The smallest package type I'm familiar with is 144 pin LQFP, and I wasn't very good at soldering with them.

Hmm, dont rush should just be tattooed across my hands and arms. 12 volts on the 3 volt line = blown micro.

Overnighted an Explorer 16 board so I can stop beating around the bush and get things going. FreeRTOS is compiled and im starting to write some code. Will start testing my drive circuits on the car tomorrow or sunday. Need to catch up on documentation and progress reports. Also made a connection with a startup that is in the field and in my area. Will probably be working on stuff for them, which will at least indirectly help with getting this thing into production for you guys. In the future. Id like to see at least something resembling a product by the end of the summer. Still cant make any promises on release dates yet.

I have until May 5th to get this completed, a combination of a full class schedule, part time job, new girlfriend, and senior-itis means im falling behind a bit. But no worries, im in a good mood and have a new toy that will be at my door before 10:30 tomorrow morning.

How are things going? Down to the wire yet? I know my project is. I'm busting ass to get stuff fabbed in China, and it HAS to be going into finals week.

Too bad they don't have a class for "start a business while not failing school". haha
