$650 plus shipping for each. I'd like to move this since I won't be using them.

Any update on these? I just heard from a buddy that he will be in the market for a gaming laptop in the very near future. Were you able to determine whether or not the wireless issue on the gateway was hardware or drivers?
60% of the time, my car works every time.

I can get a second opinion, but I think it's the wireless card that failed. They're cheap to replace: http://www.mundocorp.com/shopexd.asp?id=21494. If I get around to it I may order one to replace it to see if it solves the problem. I used a usb wireless dongle so it never bothered me. Both laptops are still available.

I will keep that in mind when I talk to him about which way to go. Biggest perk to that gateway one is that he can keep it up to date in the future which is amazing. If he wants something that he can never change I would still recommend that g72 new or used...awesome laptop.

Yeah that was the biggest reason why I bought it in the first place. If the video card was upgradable I would have just upgraded everything on the laptop. Instead, I came across a good deal on some G72 laptops. I do like the Gateway laptop better when it comes to feel, noise, stability, etc. I just didn't want to upgrade the processor, hard drive, ram, optical drive, and still be stuck with the same 8800M GTS video card which works well for games still. It wasn't much more money to get another used laptop with slightly better specs. I'll probably continue going that route instead of upgrading laptop components since I'm a casual gamer anymore due to the lack of time for it. PSN being down for this long is very frustrating since I couldn't even get Netflix to work the last few days, but I've been gaming more on my laptop with a few friends so I haven't missed it too much.
