Not too familiar with shops up there. Also, don't blame you one bit, I'm taking a chance here in buying one of those kits and seeing if I can make any respectable numbers out of them. $5-600 isn't a huge chunk of money to throw down for it, but it definately isn't something to scoff at either. Probably gonna take me some time to save up to do this project on the side. Lately just been doing some maintenance on the vr4 and trying to get it more roadworthy, so maintenance is going first for sure.
Yea, been here for about a year and a half. Hit Jason up over at Priced Matched Parts. He would know better about the dyno shops around here. He might already have some good leads on turbo shops as well.

Just let us know when you are coming into town. We arent a huge group yet, but we are growing with every meet. Heck, even though you are in Elko we're your closest club. We own you...haha!

Haha yeah...I'm basically in the middle of nowhere living here in Elko, the nice part (sometimes) is that I'm the only Vr4 around that I know of. There's a few SL's but never see any other vr4's on the road round here. I'd love to make it up to a meet with you guys sometime. Hopefully the vr4 will be roadworthy for the trips up to SLC this summer! Not a whole lot left to do other than stupid leaky cam seals and smoking on decel issue.

Yea, should be easy enough. exhaust smoke sounds like VSS, or your turbos. Probably why you are looking at upgrades.

Yeah I'm suspecting atleast the rear turbo seals leaking since there is oil in my rear IC piping and none in the front. Also the VSS are new with the heads 1k miles ago...hope to hell they're not bad yet lol but you never know with these cars. Cam seals were new too, but they're leaking already. Prob due to bad PCV which I just replaced

I don't know if it's been mentioned but it looks like you will have to mod the rear IC pipe to fit.

Yeah I noticed that, but all I should really need to do is clock the turbo correctly and then just use a coupler to join the rear IC pipe to the turbo instead of the stock style bolt and O-ring deal

In for results. bcarroll over on 3si did this using a similar kit. Never got his results though. Might dig up his address and send a PM. Also the kit you linked doesn;t include an exhaust wheel so in theory you could make a hybrid 9b/19t. 19t front housing and retaining the stock 9b exhaust housing. However not sure what sort of results you would end up with. The same place offers other kits as well. Complete kit with everythign exept the exhaust housing [includes ex wheel and cartidge etc].

Yeah I'm still trying to sort out if I wanna use the 9b exhaust wheel or not..probably will just to make things simple. Not sure how hard the exhaust housing would be to machine for the larger 19t exhaust wheel. I assume it's just a regular TD04HL exhaust wheel...
