Car is a '99 VR4. Logged with EvoScan. Tuned using ECUFlash.

Timing and fuel are changeable using ECUFlash. What recommendations would you make with respects to the timing curve?

Put it back? The only changes have been to WOT tunning; basically fuel only under high load. That and the injector scaling. Other than that, the fuel map and timing map are completely OEM.

Weird that the knock appears to be in one gear. Timing seems to reflect the knock somewhat. I'm not a tuning guy but I'd probably adjust the timing a bit and do it again. Was the road totally flat? Kind of looks like the car was under more load in that gear.

FWIW: The shaded areas represent a gear, from 1st through 3rd and then off the gas n coasting to a stop. The road was completely flat, to the naked eye at least. Load was probably due to the fact I was WOT.

The top of 3rd is where knock was happening. Although the knock didn't exceed 8 counts, I'm the type to look for 0 counts all the way through. The knock kept the timing down to under 20 through 3rd gear, in contrast, 2nd gear didn't have knock (well 2 counts but not continous) and so timing wasn't held back and reached 21 degrees.

The clue here, to me and what I'm hoping others will chime in on, is how the NBO2's show .93/.91 during WOT in 2nd gear, but then show .91/.89 (lean) through 3rd gear. I'm almost positive that this is the reason why knock occured, however, I'm not sure as to why it would lean out as it did.

I'm thinking of just riching it up a little more to see if I can get the NBO2's to be at least .93/.91 during WOT in 3rd gear; and not worry about what NBO2's look like while WOT in 2nd gear. From this, it would seem that 2nd gear WOT would be richer.

    Thoughts?
