    lower profile jack

    I have a craftsman aluminum jack and it worked great until I installed the stock front 99 front lip. Now I have to bend the lip up to get the jack slid in far enough to jack on the center front jack point.

    Every jack I see rises sharply after 8 inches or so and that is the part that interferes with the lip.

    Anyone have any suggestions? All the jacks online just give specs for the lowest saddle height, which is not a problem I have.

    Use a jack on the side lift point to raise it up enough to get the other jack under the front.

    I personally never use the center front jack point. Too much chance of slippage and damaging something vital.

    the center jack point is safer than jacking up by the pinch weld on the side all the time.

    yeah that would work, but I may as well drive up on a couple boards if I am going to do that.

    I jack by the pinch weld all the time and have never had a jack slip.

    I'm not worried about slipping, I'm worried about damaging the body over time.

    Frankly I didn't ask how I should be jacking my car up, I asked for a lower profile or longer reach jack.
