    isn't there mointing holes fo the gauge cluster on that plastic wall?

    about to install new gauges on my 1g vr4 but not sure I want to do this method or pull the whole dash.

    Mine stay fantastically, but you dont reinstall the cluster either...

    ...you remove the cluster and simply slip the new gauges into their respective slots, anything bigger than the new slim 52mm will snug right into the factory hole!
    if you cant fix it with a hammer...then you have an electrical problem

    mine are 52mm so might be harder for me then. But I'll try this method.

    Mine are 52mm as well, and fit great...

    ...but the newest "slim bezel" 52s are too small to work without some PVC to slip into.
