This is not a FS thread yet. I just want to see if there is any interest in this stuff right now. I already have some interest in the whole car as well.
I hit a deer with my 91 RT/TT and I just don't really want to put anymore money into it right now. Plus there are other options out there to be had for about the same price as it would cost me to have body shop do the repairs. I may sell just the engine and trans and keep the rest until I can get it repaired, but we'll see.
I pulled the engine and trans from a parts car I bought from a local body shop. The car was wrecked and the owner dropped it off at their shop and never came back for it. They began charging storage and acquired the car then sold it to me.
car is driveable if you want and are able to come take it for a ride. I actually drive it to work everyday and enjoy driving it
Engine
has ~130,000 on it. Runs great. No smoking, no knocking, just a little lifter tick for a couple of seconds at first start-up on a cold morning, but it quickly goes away. I've had it in the car for about 2000 miles and have had no problems with it. 60K was done before dropping it into the car - new timing belt, water pump, pulleys, drive belts, tensioner, plugs and wires. Reat main seal has also been replaced. Also has good 9b turbos with minimal shaft play.
I'm thinking around 1800 plus shipping for everything ready to drop in - Includes long block, oil pan, upper and lower intake manifold, TB, exh manifolds, turbos. Can include accessories as well, other than AC compressor.
Transmission and TC
25 spline that works great. Maybe a little notchy going into 2nd, but not bad at all and not always noticeable. No grinding at all.
Probably asking 1000 plus shipping
For those that are east of the Mississippi River, I'm pretty sure I can ship for around $125-$150 each(not sure if they both go together). Anywhere else, I'd have to check
