a lot of folks put clear coat on there fender wheels and firewall and it looks good. but when mike decides what color to paint his pontiac i am going to use there tinted chrome paint. this is probably a couple years away. i have seen some polished stainless firewalls at cruiseins but a tint would be way better. if we had the engine out of his vr4 or stealth for sure i would paint it with this. it is costly. $175 a pint but that would probably do firewall and fender liners.

that stuff has been around for years, I have it on a few parts. In dallas a few guys were doing it. I have to say its not a very long lasting product at all even with three layers of clear coat on it. At the ast NG there was this big rain storm (I assume acid rain storm) and it fucked up my piece pretty good. I went back tot he guy and he says yeah thats one of the older processes, I have it improved now , i will redo for free, so i got it redone but its still challenging. I found this other guy and all I heard from him was complaining thr problems they had had with this product. I had him do a few pieces with the thier new process and it still was challenging, not an easy process at all, it gets contanimated real quick. Its cheaper, but you get what you pay for. Also tuned out that those two companies new eachother and used the same company and processes.

I will go back to plastic metallizing for sure.

David, you didnt see it on the spyder last year at the NG? It was the metal trim piece below the front window under the wipers? Remember that big rain storm that came thru?

Now I have also dont a overflow tank and have done cam covers.
