That's what it looks like mounted up with are mounting bracket. We are working on a slightly less expensive way of having the kits done as well. There will be an option for a different style hose to be used which could drop the kit price down about $20. It would have a nylon cover on the hose, so there is no need to have protective coverings on the hose like you would need on the SS braided ones. I will have those finalized next week along with a larger side mount oil cooler.
I was going to suggest this..but diden't want to rain on your party.
Stainless braided is way over rated and far heavier than needed for 99% of the stuff people do on cars.
Earls Pro-line 350 is what I used...light, cheap, fantastic

Man! That is one dead sexy car that your awesome kit is mounted to! That guy must be super lucky to have that car and that cooler set up!![]()
Yes, I know for a fact that you can fit a 19row oil cooler in the stock location with cxracing fmic kit. I have it on mine, just have to angle the core a bit.
I ordered up a 16 row oil cooler to fit into that spot. I didn't want it to lean back too far. It will have over twice the cooling capacity as the stock one.
you know....if you baffle the Oil cooler correctly (think of the origional SMIC shrouding) you could put it as slanted as you want...and if you put that second turbo pipe at the same angle as the first then you could mount a massive oil cooler, and with your shrouding being right you could mount a very thick one and still get great air flow.
could... if you wanted....
not really interested in slanting any intercooler. i'm interested in what's the biggest honking oil cooler i can fit in that spot; assuming that i'm using an FMIC and the piping is hidden behind the bumper (not poking out the side inlets of the bumper). specifically with regards to a 97-98 bumper.
if it's dual-core, (or two cores in series, etc) that's ok too. and i'm interested in one for the passenger side too; because i plan to use an identical setup to cool the trans.
subscribed so i can see pics when i get off work.
