Man, I'm either gonna have to fall into some major cash or I'm gonna have to make a lap hauling mine on a tow truck.

I'm definately gonna try to make it with or without my vr4, this will be my first NG.

“The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the presidency. It will be easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails us. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president.” -- Author Unknown

I hope I can get the Stealth assembled, painted and on the road for this one. It will be like a new car. If I don't, I can always drive the 3000GT. I am definitely not going to miss this NG. I have already put in for vacation time.

I hope the Stealths get to lead the pack during the pace lap. It is only fair for the Dodge Stealth to get top billing and get its due credit just as it was originally announced as the Official Pace Car before politics and irrational thinking substituted the Viper as the ceremonial leader of the pack. No disrespect to the 3000GT of which I am also a proud owner.

the lead car should be the one in the museum, imho. the ones immediately behind it should be any and all pace-car replicas that are in attendance. after that, fair game.

    p.s.

    can i have position #7?

The only positions that have been decided are that of the IMS Pace Car (which hopefully will be the Stealth from the museum), and Roger's pace car. Any other pace cars that attend will be directly behind Roger. Non-3/S's will be at the back of the line for photo reasons (I'm sure you can ALL appreciate that). Beyond that, we've made no decisions. There are certainly many options... Some that have been considered are: Stealths then 3000GT's, lining up in order of registration number, lining up with members who have attended the most NG's first and on down the line from there... I believe it's only fair that Sponsors driving a 3/S will be behind the pace cars, but even that is still to be determined. There are A LOT of factors involved in this one... Very complicated, but very fun!!! Loving the positive feedback. Wouldn't it be great if the one year we get to do this happens to also be the year with the most 3/S's in attendance? Sounds like many of you will be coming out of the woodwork. You have no idea how happy that makes the Committee, or how "worth it" all this work becomes... Thanks again for all the positive feedback and all the bazillions of emails I've received. You sure can put a smile on a tired girl's face!

registration number makes the most sense, and would be the easiest to organize.

i suppose. but it also means that the front is going to be packed with retirees and people who work independently. DOD schmucks like myself are going to be saddled somewhere in the back. not that there's anything wrong with that--but you will see some stratification.

I'm sure we're also going to take into account the photography. This event will be epic and will be a once-in-a-lifetime kind of thing. We want to make sure it's PERFECT. We worked harder for this one lap than we work for the whole NG put together. It'd BETTER be perfect.
