That auto cross we did was with NO Trans lube. LOL. Bone dry to the spider tooth that punched a hole in the case.
This year put an entire spyder through the case. Grrrrr. You know Duttch is not far from you. And I used to live on first street in Santee, just pasted the high school.
Built a few Baja bugs while there. Used to be a drivin along the highway when I was there. I'm looking foreward to the competition for sure.

Why would you run a trans with no oil?

Had no choice. Not going to travel all that way and not compete. Need that trophy. LOL. This was the first time we ever had a chance to try out the new intake system. And besides, not like I could hurt it more. Damage was already done.
This is our race car. Only a blown engine would keep us from running. I blow a trans ever year. It's than damn drag racing that takes it's toll. That and we only made power that year from 5800 to 7236. (fuel shut off) So that entire week we never let the motor go below 58 when competting. Sure that did not help as well. So, there you have it. Not matter, only the trans was broke. But not the opertunity to have some fun.

I am looking for a good core. I need to have a trans built Just for the kinda of abuse we put our car through. I don't think I ever get in it unless I have intentions of making the asphalt screem.
All the trans I have here have a fist size hole in the bell housing. And time is getting short.

but i've gotta question: say i bring a friend. a non 3s driving friend. does he have to pay what everyone else pays? is it 120 per head, or 120 per 3s junkie?

Your friend would be a guest. Check the mega thread in the national forum for the price for a guest.

To be clear, if he drives he has to pay full registration. If he comes with you in your car, he is your guest and pays just the guest fee.
