same here. but i haven't tried to sell my car. i've thought about it (like any 3/s veteran has) but i've never done it. never even posted a thread about it.
you WOULD offer to race me. lol! that'll have to wait for another fiscal year. the 10k i'm dropping this year is all cosmetic.![]()
Does order really matter that much guys? I'm fine with doing it totally random...I just think it's cool we just get to do it at all. It's going to be just as exciting whether you're the first car behind the pace car or the 100th car behind it.
Can tow vehicles go?

can cars on flat beds go? hahaha
I say there has to be some kind of order. This will avoid pure chaos of everyone trying to get in front when the event comes around. I like the idea of by year, by color. especially if we could line up in rows of say three. Maybe even get cars that are identical (first gen, same color) in the same row of three. If there are that many. Same for stock body panels vs. body kits? just thoughts to throw out. Would take a lot of effort. Thanks again for putting all of this on, Lori! I'm going to try and make this one.
Actually, I think trying to make a specific order would just complicate the process, and start to take joy of being in such a parade out of it. I certainly don't want to pissed off while driving the lap because somebody decided to be late, but just early enough that concessions are made and everyone has to move to allow them in, and then it happens again. It could also end up taking more than twice as long to set up, depending on how much staging are there is. IF there is going to be any kind of order, it better be very easy to discern who is in what category, and there should be maybe 3 categories at most.
Going by years is wholly complicated, because you will undoubtedly have cars like mine, that is a '94 with an ALL '98 body style. Only my headlights and quarter panels are original. That should change a bit as I put the AA back on. My point is that putting my car up front with the other '94s would just confuse people if it is announced that they are going in order of year, and just look distasteful. It would be much easier to say, "Classic Body Style", "Partial Body Style", "Full kit Body Style". It would make it easy to organize, give spectators a chance to see what the cars originally looked like, and allow them to see what people have done to customize them. It also gives a sort of, "Here is how things progressed on the platform" concept (although it may not be true, but they don't know that).
Just a quick note... We won't be making exceptions for people being late. It absolutely won't be done on this one. You snooze, you lose. That simple. IMS won't mess around, and we can't mess around.
2022 National Gathering Reunion
How about arranging the cars by colour so they spell out "www.3sgto.org" as a giant banner?
