I've never driven 120mph so I'll just hang in the back!
They would fall off the track during yellow flags if that were the case.

How about we just be grateful that we are going to get to lap IMS? I am sure NG committee has more thins to worry about then getting stressed out by reading all our opinions about how this is "going to line up".

You get what you get, don't throw a fit.

Thank you, Steve. Guys, just keep it civil and realize that we're going to make a decision based on way more than you're going to take into account. I'm not looking forward to it. This will be a VERY difficult decision to make, and we know some people are going to get pissed off.... Please just remember to be glad you're doing this, we're not charging you an arm and a leg for it (the NG is eating the cost of this, and it's substantial), and trust us to make an informed decision. If you want to discuss, that's fine, but keep it civil, don't criticize each other's thoughts, and remember that I'm reading it. And DON'T WORRY - we'll keep you informed of what we decide and exactly how.

I have no clue as to what "fit" Steve was refering to. No one is being uncivil. We were just throwing ideas out there as they pop in our heads.

It is fun to speculate and be excited about things to come. It was made clear previously as to how things would be decided and noone protested the fact.

Should we not discuss and have some fun while here?

Edit: Lori, no one is questioning or bitching about the event or how it is ran/scheduled. I/We all appreciate the effort you and others have put forth to make this happen. Please don't take the discussions so literal. It is just excitement welling up and flowing over...

It's all good, I wouldn't even say I was upset, nor did I think anyone was having a fit. The phrase wasn't meant to be a flat out attack, sorry if it was taken that was taken that way.

Ok, a few additional things... First of all, no, I won't publish or PM the exact amount it's setting us back. That's primarily because we'll never know what it's adding to our insurance cost. Anyone who wishes to contribute is certainly able to pick up a sponsorship or something like that - we always welcome donations, although they're not necessary. CoopKill - it's not about everyone bitching now.. I've seen this happen too many times. Everyone discusses what they think is best, then it comes time for the event and we don't do it their way and they'll confront me (time and time again) during the event to discuss it. That's where my concen is. OF COURSE being excited is good, and discussing it in such a way is a great thing. It's like when we choose a location... Everyone discusses, everyone gets all excited, then they find out the location and they get all pissy because it's not where they wanted it. Forget about the $5M insurance policy that costs us $10-15k for one week... Or forget that the track wasn't available... Or whatever... They get pissy and it turns into this major debate, which in the end goes sour. We want to make sure this one never goes sour. It's way too cool of an event for that.
