I, for one, couldn't be happier to see this era end. Rich Rodriguez was officially fired from the University of Michigan this afternoon, as heard on Fox Sports. WOO-HOO!!!!!!!!!!!

Now the bigger concern... How will we ever convince Harbaugh to come to Michigan and not go to the pros?!?! Or convince our AD to hire Les Miles over Brady Hoke. This is going to get interesting... At least the hopelessness is over.

The university said no announcement has been made.

And Harbaugh would be a FOOL to go to UM. If he goes anywhere he's be best off heading to the NFL.

I think it's the objective of sports news now to be first and not necessarly right.

It would take Harbaugh several years to bring in the type of guys he needs for his type of offense. He has an established program at Stanford. The only thing Michigan has over them is that they are the winningest team in NCAA history. The only logical step for him if he goes anywhere would be to the NFL.

I don't know. It would be easier for Harbaugh to stay at the top if he went to an established program, like, oh I don't know, Texas, Florida, USC, etc, etc... The NFL is a meat grinder for coaches and Andrew Luck's don't magically appear every 4 years. Stanford doesn't have the luxury of taking any idiot athlete like the aforementioned programs do. If Harbaugh wants stability for his family, a top tier football school would be a good choice. Shrug. Either way, he's at the top of anybody's wish list.
