The shock loads were pretty damn high, and there is only so much room inside the DSM tranny to fit the centre diff. Packaging constraints for all those internals limits the case thickness of the Quaife, and there's only so much you can do with metallurgy.

I'm unfamiliar with the internals of the Stealth tranny so don't know where the limiting factors are.

i don't think i've heard of anyone breaking the supercar center diff....yet. i haven't really heard of quaife front LSD failures; but i have heard from the DSM guys that it's not the best thing for the center. i'd like to upgrade my center; but i have no desire to run anything welded.
