Adjusting my injector size in my AEM ems series 1?

Well, I upgraded from 550cc inj to PTE 780 inj and the only options for PTE are 680 and 1000'S? What do I have to do to add the 780's to the wizard. i have series 1. How bad will this hurt the car, or will it only run rich and If I have to adjust my tune off the wideband? i just want to know how to get the correct injector size in the wizard in AEMPro. Anyone have any insight on this situation for me?

In my experience the auto re-scaling of the fuel map doesn't work very well. Good enough to get the car running but thats about it. I'd go with whatevers closest and re-tune from there assuming you have a wideband.

so say I go with RC 750cc 3ohm, would that be close enough and then mess with the pulse width to clean it up on the wideband a bit? Can I use 2ohm or stay with 3 ohm? i am using 3ohm currently with the 550 setup.

Some google'ing tells me that the PTE 780's should be 2ohm. I'd start with the PTE 680 battery offset table and tune from there. I tried searching for the battery offset table for the 780s for a few minutes but its not coming up with much.

    EDIT:
    I found this,
    1.56, 1.36, 1.22, 1.13, 1.05, 0.96 at 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15 volts

In AEM V1... "click" Setup > Injectors > Primaries > Primary Injector Batt Offset Wizzard > Rochester 756cc.

Or just paste this into the Batt Offset Primary Table:

    6v 7v 8v 9v 10v 11v 12v 13v 14v 15v 16v

    2550 2550 2210 1790 1500 1290 1130 990 930 840 770

You also have to scale the fuel map to the new injectors. The easiest way is to use the Change Injectors/Pressure funtions (it's also good practice to use this function if you want to raise or lower your base pressure). The Change Injectors/Pressure function will rescale the fuel map aswell as the idle and startup functions.

"click" Fuel > Fuel Template then select what table you want to adjust by left clicking on it.

(Press "S" to change the table view if need be).

Right "click" anywhere on the table and select Change Injectors/Pressure and make scaled changes, individual cell, or global changes (up to you really) and "click" OK.

    Example:

Make certain you calculate your injector Dead Time correctly. Very very important, especially when the EMS is indexing additional compensation tables!
