Do I have to replace the gaskets?

While im replacing these I will do the TC as well. Do I need the 'special tool' to install the seal?

Im trying to take the front valve cover off, everything is going well, except for the pcv crossover hose. Its hard and I cant get it off.

That's just a rubber hose, if it's hard, you can cut it off and replace it. What do you mean by TC? I think transfer case or torque converter, but I'm not sure you're talking about either of those.

Yes, the seal on the transfer case.
