Thread: Bye bye 3S :(

    Bye bye 3S :(

I recently sold my 3KGT... it was a painful goodbye

If anyone remembers me, I am Boricua-PR's son (for any of you that know him)
My car got crashed into in about June-ish... I didn't really have time for repairs, plus the ATX gave way and i swapped it for an MTX.
Which in turn was heavily abused (still miles better than the ATX though lol)

Seeing as there were too many problems and too little time... I sold it for $2,300 with the crash (or bump or whatever)... Picture of the carnage:

I now have about $4,300 and looking for a car...

What do you guys think would be a good choice for me??? I'm heavily eyeing a 96 Eclipse GST.. but my dad says otherwise... Any other choices??? I thought about a 318 or an A4 but they're german... and repairs seem to be tedious and expensive...

Any good reason NOT to get a DSM??? help plz lol

if you get a dsm, get AWD. FWD FTL, IMHO. otherwise get a civic and enjoy 35+mpg. but thats just me....
Those, who stand for nothing, will fall for anything.
On the Internet you can be anything you want. It's strange that so many people choose to be stupid.

The FWD tranny is pretty weak... That said, if it's built by shep or whoever, it's generally fine.

I would even bet a Shep built FWD trans would be pretty weak. Remember, I had a Quaife and blew 2nd with my massive non turbo SOHC power.

A 95-99 Eclipse GSX is a pretty badass little ride and they look nice too.

All GSX's down here in PR are beat to shit.
Like, bad. I saw one the other day selling for 4000 and the lifters ticked (A GSX not a 3S lol), the camber in the rear was a fuxxord... just general beat....
Dad will definently NOT let me have another 3S... I do want one though :S

DSM's have the same lifters as a 3s so lifter tick is common.
