Corbeau Seat Rails + Brackets*-*Mitsubishi 3000GT*/*Dodge Stealth Parts
Anyone had any problems mounting these seat Rails? the tabs that you bolt through don't line up and the inner seatbelt side actually appears to need to be shimmed up!!
anyone?

yeahh with much stuffing around I've made them fit :| funny enough they are only just able to move forward enough for my feet to fit on the pedals
looks like alot of people have the same problems doing a fair amount of digging around google. :|
Most people have to ream the bolt holes out by all accounts.

I'm what...175cm? and yeah just had to drill the holes AND the rear rail does not sit on the holes level so I had to shim it up to make it level (the rear bolt tunnel side on both sides was over 1" lower than where the mount was attempting to attach to.
I think I'm also going to put another metal bar on the rails so I can have the seat further forward normally AND so I can lift the front of the seat up.
i used to have the FX1's. do NOT use the bottom mounts, use side mounts so you can tilt the seat. if you use the bottom mounts, the seat is just way too "flat" and you can't adjust the angle. you will feel like your butt is sliding forward all the time. also, you will feel like you're slouching all the time because the seat is bolt upright.
GENERAL corbeau bracket top tip:
when bolting it down (after you've widened the hole), if you notice that there is a gap between the bracket and bolt hole, do NOT just crank it down. doing so will bend the bracket, and the slider with it. it will be very difficult to adjust. use a solid spacer of some sort (not a stack of washers).

bottom mounts? side mounts? picture of what your talking about?
corbeau seat and sparco side mounts:
corbeau side mounts:
for the lowest possible configuration (e.g. helmet space), i recommend ditching the sliders completely. drill and bolt the side mounts directly to the bracket. mount the seat using the lowest holes in the rear, and give yourself a little tilt in the front.
of course, your girlfriend and midgets won't be able to drive your car, but oh well.
