My FX-1 pro was a bitch to get in, same bracket problem like the rest of you have experienced. Took me a good two hours to grind the holes bigger so it'd fit properly and then I just muscled it into position and cranked it down. It doesn't seem flat to me though, the way I did it.

Head room is definitely lacking, so I would highly recommend those side mounts also.

headroom with side mounts. rear bolt set to the lowest hole, front bolt set to 2nd from the top. for extra extra headroom, buy a fibgerglass shell type seat, not a tube frame. that way when you take out the seat pads and it will still be comfortable.

Heres mine, on the Corbeau sliding bracket.

This shows my headroom from the top of the seat, I couldn't get my whole hand in and take a picture at the same time but it's about 3 inches.

You gain lots of room on either side of the seat, but I did have to flip around the buckle mounting plate to get it to fit.
