    New Redline MT-85

Redline MT-85 75W85 GL-4. Anyone on here running this? Essentially this should be the same as mixing MT-90 with MTL (I have heard both 50/50 and 70/30). Just curious as to how you liked it, any complaints etc...

I believe they finally decided to make an 85 for the EVO and others that required a 50/50 mix, it should be just as good if not better than the mix, I think it's too new for anyone to actually have been running it long enough to give decent a review on though.....go get some and let us know! ha

It's too new for anyone to have really been running it long enough for now. I still have a box of MTL and MT90 in the garage, but I might buy MT85 and try that after I'm done break in. I have a feeling it's going to be pretty sweet

Im sure it will work well. I have ran straight mtl with very good results in the past.

Yes! I did a drivetrain fluid change last month, and it was much more convenient than my required mixing in the past. I have done the 50/50 and 40/60 previously.

    3/S Street Tuner San Diego's Panda VR-4 v.3 w/ 38psi (peak) on E85+Meth | 3094 lbs as of 7/2/19

    '92 VR-4 - Fully built, AEM EMS S2, MHI EVO3 16G's, suspension, and corner balancing | '10 EVO X SE | '04 EVO VIII SSL
    4/1/21 - "retuned" est. 570AWHP VD SAE (580 U/C | second gear | 88°F) holding ~30psi (more boost & less timing still... hehe)
On the side (v.4): IPS single turbo kit w/ GReddy 70mm, BC 3.4 billet stroker crank, BC gears, Italo billet oil pump gears, etc.

I had good results with straight MT90, until it got cold. Swapped to the mix in the VR4, and it was golden.

edit: didn't reload before I posted. Nice to see someone using MT85

I'm running MT85 in my drivetrain, and it has VASTLY improved my shifting and all around feel of my transmission. Needless to say, I had some generic shitty ass GL-4 in there before, but shifting was very notchy and required some decent force to get into 1st. Since I switched to all Redline fluids in my drivetrain, everything has been much smoother and more enjoyable to drive. I haven't put a ton of miles on it yet, but I noticed a difference in shifting the moment I drove it home from the shop.

Bringing this back up from the dead.

    The NP driveline package-

I'll be swapping this in when I do the 60K. Scared of what the PO has in there.
