I'm trying to workout if I want to go the 40mm DMS street shocks for 3.5K or the 50mm hardcore shocks for $4.8k it's only 1k difference....and the 50mm are 2 way adjustable unlike the 40mm..
waiting to see what prices turn up from the USA too..as Australia is ALWAYS 25% more expensive than anything over there.

Bilsteins.DG..got a brand of Coil overs that you would recommend...preferably under 2K
It's not rocket science to fit a coilover sleeve.
The "shock" part of the Bilstein is just so much better than all the alternatives that it massively outweighs whatever annoyance comes with fitting a strut insert into an OEM "foot".
And these days, Bilsteins are stupid cheap. You can buy three sets for the price of the Chinese crap.
DG
I'll tell you what.
If somebody sends me a set of OEM shock assemblies (one front, one rear, complete with the upper hats and springs) and a pair of Bilsteins (one front, one rear) I'll draw up a set of drawings and do a how-to web page for converting them to take-apart coilovers.

Ohhh please do! awesome idea.

Build Thread
I'll do it the way I do the Koni setup for DSMs - release the drawings publicly, place some restrictions on commercial sale to prevent vendors from ripping you off by jacking the price, and put instructions online.
You then make a PayPal donation to cover bandwidth and my time.
You'll need a machine shop do do the actual build, but the tough part is the design, not the build. Any machine shop can do this stuff.
But I need seed parts to start. I'm not ripping my car apart (I think the OEM ECS suspension is actually very good and will be keeping it) and I'm not investing any of my own money.
DG
Any downsides to using these DG? They were just released last week and adapt our lower strut mount to an Evo strut mount: http://www.3sgto.org/f65/new-product...ters-4904.html
According to Supercar we can adapt/bolt-on any strut/suspension from Evo 8-9 to 3/S. A really big options door just swung open...
yeah bitch'scheckout this, these things must way 1/3rd more than the Tein rubbish, everything is solid...durable...well designed.
