I may be wrong, but I'd like to venture a guess. I'd say he finds a well funded savings before purchasing parts that may fall under living out of one's own means.

Well, it's nice to be out of school, but if I worry about something popping up at the last minute, I'll never buy a thing.

For me, the battle was buying the car to begin with.

None of that is to say there isn't a brake on my spending; my wife keeps the books, after all.

I have quadrupled the available closet space in my music room
