Yeah that computer will be more than enough for whatever you are doing. Sounds like a nice setup. I have brutalized an HP laptop or 2 and they ran strong for years afterwards.

I was going to recommend an HP. I have an HP laptop with the 17" widescreen, Intel Core 2 Duo, etc. I got it on Black Friday for just over $400. My only complaint are weak speakers, and where they are mounted.
