Keep the shields
if you want to over do it...as Maximal says:
Ceramic coat everything, then head shield it, then put wraping around the exhaust shielding(not the manifold shielding)![]()

yeah, when I was taking them off I was thinking that there is no way I will put all of them back on. so I was trying to see if I could replace them with something else (like wrapping the manifolds). I guess I will put some in front to keeps the heat from the rad fans.
Those, who stand for nothing, will fall for anything.
On the Internet you can be anything you want. It's strange that so many people choose to be stupid.
the rear one stops it heating up the cabin and everything on that side...your call though.
I havent had shields on in 5 years. No issues.
how often do you really push your car? has the matting/plastic around your turbo's & Manifolds discoloured?
Just put a blanket on the hot side of the turbos. I used a DEI general thermal management kit the part number is 010113. The kit has enough material to wrap both turbos, the collectors on both manifolds and the downpipes all the way to the transition and left overs to make deflection shields and even wrap the alternator. Kit works pretty damn sweet and can be had at 40% off at Adavanced Autoparts by using discount code LC123 (40% off up to $100 purchase) Mine was like $50 with the discount.
I personally prefer to have the heat shields, they are there for a reason. They help dissipate heat. I like my car to be modded but to have the stock reliability and this plays a role.
