    4.8qrts for the TT models.

A quick google search reveals that the N/A models call for 4.5 qrts, about the same as the TTs.

Some people just put the full 5 qrts in.

if you're burning oil or some other "oil-eating" related issue.

On the Internet you can be anything you want. It's strange that so many people choose to be stupid.

I always put 5 quarts in and it was always to the full mark. Now I put 4.5 quarts, then add to the dipstick until it is at the full mark. I have seen it where they had cut away images of our engines and measured and it can easily fit 5 without even being close to the crank. So 5 is no prob and that is why a lot do 5 to be simple.

But I would definitely, put a gallon in and then keep adding til full on the oil dipstick. But for sure it takes more than 4. The 4.8 stated above seems pretty spot on.

I almost always just dumped in 5 quarts. It was always right above the fill line.

As per our manual 4 quarts w/o filter 4 1/2 with filter and 5 with a complete oil change with oil cooler disconnected and dumped. This is what Mitsubishi recommends. Remember that this is a dry motor specification so your probably going to get it to the full mark with somewhere between 4 to 4 1/2 with a filter change.

    Bingo.

Add around 4 3/4 quarts then check. FSM says 4.9 quarts
