    Misfire help

I have a miss fire issue I am getting codes 22 (crank angle sensor(on a 92 tt) and 44 (ignition coil). I have replaced both and still have the miss fire. I still need to test the CAS wiring harness but any other ideas to check?

Tried to find someone to test it but no luck. So I put in the extra ecu that I know is bad in and it would just die.

A couple months ago I was driving the car back home from nebraska city and all of a sudden the CEL came on and it ran like crap so I pulled over tried to check everything I could in the dark with a little key chain flashlight. I decided to try and limp it home so I pulled out onto the highway and started going and it started running fine with no CEL. (weird) As I got about 5 miles from home it did it again and it has continued ever since.

Check your plugs and wires, and also your MAF sensor.

Did you open it up and inspect for leaking caps?

the new one yes boarded looked clean and no cap discoloration or anything. MAf unplugged it and made the car run worse and gave me 2 other CEL codes which I have since cleared. I think it is just about time to pull out the manual and start from the beginning. It's probably something really simple but I am just over complicating it

My friend swears up and down that its the ECU (he's a none 3/s guy).

It's just so damn cold now.

Edit: removed post hahaha. Mixing up 2 threads in my mind. I would still try another ECU if you can.

Finally after a little motivation I took out the PTU and tested it according to the manual/stealth316 and for coils 1 and 4 with the battery hooked up I am measuring the same amount of resistance. Thanks guys for the help I will let you know if my problem is fixed once I get a new one ordered.

Sorry for making 2 different threads about this but the support is very appreciate.
