Do you notice whats different about this 99'?

If you didn't see, I removed the trims lines. Looks so much better, thinking about doing this to mine before I repaint it.

Looks too bland in my opinion.

Filling all those lines would be tedious, demanding, and make swapping body parts a total bitch that will destroy the paint.

Not to mention using some type of filler on body lines will only crack with time. If you even hit a pot hole on the highway it could crack, My advice don't do it.

What about metal or fiberglass filler? I don't think I would ever use bondo to do body work. I think trimless looks great on the later generation cars. The trims lines are okay on the 1st gens but I feel like they make the later models look dated. Oh and I don't care about switching side skirts, I like the 2nd gen stealth ones and thats what I'm sticking with forever.

Something as simple as jacking up the car will crack it all right away. There is to much flex in the unibody to allow this to work. Plus you could never take the fenders off, or bumpers.

Also just for the sake of looks it would be horrible in real life. The trim panels on the doors stick out, so you would still have a line there anyways after you filled it.

I was well aware that it's going to be more complicated then just shoving the trim lines full of bondo. I'm not sure exactly how I would do it most likely by adding some metal to the door and making it one piece. Then extending the quarter panels down as well then filling in all imperfection with lead filler or fiberglass. I think that would eliminate the stress points as the uni-body would still be able to flex as normal. Anyways I'm just trying to gather interest on the idea and mainly how people think it looks.

As said prior it will crack. You cant expect metal or fiberglass not to for the simple reason that the side skirts are poly and the doors are metal. They expand at different rates.
