This makes the most sense to me. I never heard any knock though but I know sometimes it would need an actual scan device to detect. When I get time or when ever I get my tranny back into my VR4 (biggest pain in the ass) I'll pull the GSX into the garage and check for metal shavings in the oil then drop the pan and look at my bearings.

I want to just rebuild the engine to be honest with yall. At this point I have no faith in the last person who had this GSX and think he was another hack mechanic DSMer. I'm not sure if I mentioned it on this thread earlier but the person I bought the car from said the person they got it from did the work. It has a 1st gen engin and tranny in it but they said the guy replaced a bearing and piston and piston arm? I can't find the exact email anymore but I don't know anything other then that about this cars engine. I'm not even sure about the "16G" that's in the car either.

Austin when I say it was low in oil it was a quart low. This car can through ALOT of oil out of the exhaust system on cold starts reving it to keep it from dying thats why I think the turbo was blown... That or it has has bad rings or something. There is always oil in the valve covers sitting around the spark plug holes.
