    Speed bleeders fits poorly?

    Has anyone run into this?

I have the correct speed bleeders, but they screw in like crap and one of them didn't tighten completely until the hex part bottomed out on the caliper. I'm really afraid it will leak and I am probably going back to oem bleeders because oem bleeders fit fine. I'm going to be really pissed if it messed up my caliper.

Yep, I had some and they bottomed out at the hex. I put stock ones back in. I never gave it a try so I don’t know if it will leak or not.

If they bototmed out, it's likely that you do not have the correct ones. I don't recall the part numbers, but when I got some several years ago, there was some confusion about the correct part numbers and the part numbers are different for various years (not just 1G/2G).

yeah i got them off a forum member a long time ago and just got around to trying them. They are just way too short, they are the correct thread, but the length is wrong. I have all 2G brakes, but I only tried the fronts. I think the stock ones are 40% longer, there is just no way these can seal.

oh well, I'd rather bleed the old way anyway, you can't really see the fluid this way. Luckily the stock bleeders still screwed back in just fine.

Mine worked fine thus far, but I've only fitted them to the 355mm stoptech front brake calipers.
