    O2 sensor ?

Just picked up a pair of NTK replacement precat O2 sensors. Their listing is for left & right but the cable length is ass-backwards to what the FSM refers to as R & L (viewed from the rear of motor).
Is the cable length the only difference between the two, or is there a difference in calibration between the sensors?
    Thanks-

The cable length is the only difference. Right and Left is generally from the front of the engine, isn't it?

That's how I always look at it.

yes, shorter one is rear bank. Cali specs are different; they have 4 o2 sensors.

Just replaced mine about two weeks ago, left is front, rear is right...looking at the engine from the drivers side, which is the front of the engine...also, wire length is all that's different....

Hey Thanks- so long as their interchangable side to side-
My non-cali has the short cable up front/rad side Roy...
Perhaps the L&R bank on a transverse mounted V6 is up to personal interpetation, the 6G72 FSM definately refers to the front/rad side as right & firewall bank as left. Under the exhaust manifold section-
    Maybe NGK see's it different?
    Confusing as hell...

Yep, short up front, long in rear, they're one of those things that can only go one way, the short harness will only reach so far

What I posted earlier was bass ackward. Once you start pulling them out, replace one at a time with the proper length unit, can't go wrong.

Even in the worst case (mis-manufactured cable lengths) I don't think there would be any difference in the calibration of the sensors as they are pretty well in the same postitions on the O/2 housings no? It's been a while since I've seen an assembled 6g72

There might be a variance of a few hundredths of a volt at the very most.
