    Stealth Sail Panels on a GTO?

    As some may know I've been looking into trading my Soarer off on a 3/S/GTO. I just may have found a GTO. Since doing some looking at the cars, I've concluded that I like the look of the Stealth's sail panels much, much more. I even have the donor car here, can anyone tell me if the sail panels from the Stealth will fit on a GTO? If not, why not? and what kind of work would I be looking at to make it work?

    Thanks in advance;
    Jordan.

    They'll fit. But you'll also need the stealth interior quarter window panels, as well as the stealth quarter window glass.

    You need to pull apart your interior, as well as the a-pillar, and sail panels, cut the glass out, glue the new glass in, and then reinstall all of the stealth parts.

    a real PITA.

    Thanks very much, I was hoping I wouldn't need to do any cutting or welding to do it I've had my Stealth ripped appart so many times now I know it like the back of my hand, it sounds like I'll be able to do it in a weekend then.

    you WILL need to do some cutting to the panel behind the sail. the 3kgt/GTO has an additional metal plate behind the sail panel. iirc, it's mainly tack welded on, so it shouldn't be excessively hard to remove. cut that off & the stealth stuff bolts right up.

    to my knowledge, you don't so much "cut" the glass out as you saw it out. it's a smiliar process to removing a windshield. i think the professionals use piano wire or some such.

    Yeah, that's no big deal at all, I just didn't want to have to cut out the whole quarter section to make it work.

    Yes, as I recall the windows use a "hard" adhesive and needs to be sawn out. I hate doing windows with a passion so I'll probably end up getting a glass shop here to take car of that.

    If you can find it that'd be awesome. I'll be documenting, photographing, and posting everything I do on this car if I get it. I don't want a repeat of not remembering how I had done things on my Stealth
