Alittle history first:
Rebuilt the motor about 3000-5000 miles ago (stock 70k mile pistons) and blew the rear turbo. Converted to single turbo and still on stock pcv system but didnt have the rear valve cover connected to anything (like the hose that connects the bubble on the stock system).
Well when i took it for a ride, it shot the dipstick tube out (or maybe i didnt have it COMPLETELY down) and oil was all over the underside of my hood and everything in my engine bay. I got fed up and went back to twins and i have a new set of stockers right now and forgot about this issue.
Today, i was talking to a buddy about my car and he brought up the blowby issue i had. Im thinking it was from the stupid amounts of cfms the turbo moved and the stock pcv system not being able to keep up. He thinks it might be a broken ringland.
Im hoping hes wrong but i dont have all the parts needed to have the car running to go see.. (hoping to have it running monday or tuesday)
If it is im looking at .15 over Weisco forged pistons 8.0:1 or 8.3:1 from IPS even though i don't really want to do that or have the money to do it right now
